As in the years before, the Zweckverband “Interkommunales Gewerbe-
und Industriegebiet Heidelberg-Leimen” (Special-Purpose District “Inter-Municipal Commercial and Industrial Area Heidelberg-Leimen”), also known as Economy Park Heidelberg-Leimen, was part of this year’s Real Estate Fair “Expo Real”, taking place in Munich from October 7 to 9. The Economy Park shared a stand of 240 sqm reserved for the Metroplitan Region Rhine-Neckar with the City of Heidelberg and 17 other partners.
“We are convinced that our location with its attractive conditions for businesses and investors can contribute substantially to our region’s economic development,” said John Ehret, Mayor of Leimen and President of the Special-Purpose District.
Businesses from different industries booked an appointment with the Special-Purpose District in advance to learn more about its work and location.
Happy with this lively interest in the Special-Purpose District, Heidelberg’s First Deputy Mayor Jürgen Odszuck, in his function as Vice-President of the Special-Purpose District, said “it is a very good sign that the Special-Purpose District is well on its way to developing its industrial and commercial spaces”.
The Expo Real is considered one of the most important trade fairs for real estate and investment in Europe and offers a platform where experts, investors and developers can discover innovative projects and network. For the Economy Park Heidelberg-Leimen it was a welcome opportunity to present the Special-Purpose District and the advantages of its location for businesses.
