The development of the inter-municipal commercial and industrial area Heidelberg – Leimen is taking increasingly concrete shape. With the commissioning of an experienced redevelopment agency, an important milestone has now been reached.
As part of a Europe-wide tendering process, Nassauische Heimstätte Wohnungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (NH) emerged as the most convincing bidder in terms of both expertise and economic performance. NH will now take on the task of actively supporting and implementing the urban redevelopment measures within the approximately 32-hectare redevelopment area. The redevelopment agency was officially introduced during the public meeting of the association’s assembly on July 15, 2025.
Through the redevelopment of the area, the association aims to make sustainable use of the urban, economic, and infrastructural potential of the Heidelberg – Leimen site. With the selection and commissioning of NH, the next phase begins: plans will be refined, measures prepared, and the implementation of the redevelopment objectives advanced step by step.
For the association and its member municipalities, the start of the redevelopment agency’s work marks an important step forward on the path toward a future-oriented commercial and industrial location.
